Well, hello there, 2015.
Obviously, the new year has arrived.
With it comes a new set of goals. Instead of resolutions, I like to make goals to work toward. For 2014, I didn't really have a set list of goals (I never could decide on what it was I wanted to accomplish...). But, I did accomplish several things in 2014 that I felt rather proud of:
* Finishing the draft of The Uprising (which I decided to split up into the three books again—that's my Assassin series).* Finished revisions for The Assassin's Daughter (I finished 1.5 rounds for it before my laptop crashed).* Finishing at least two first drafts (The Luckless Ones and Trace)
While I had hoped to publish The Assassin's Daughter in 2014, circumstances didn't work out in favor of that. So...that was probably my biggest goal for the year, and I was disappointed I wasn't able to meet it.
That being said, I have a new list for 2015. There are about a dozen items on it, but I'll share just a few of them here.
* Read 40 books *
* Finish 3 first drafts *
* Finish 2 revisions *
* Buy a laptop *
* Stop biting my nails (again) *
* Bible-reading (at least 358/365 days) *
* Find a critique partner *
* Buy a car *
It's a more varied list than most years, but I have some big things on it. In 2014, I really pushed myself with writing-related things (I probably haven't written so much in one year since 2010), and I wanted to continue challenging myself in 2015. I also want to rebreak a bad habit, and develop some good ones.
So, there's a sneak peek at what I hope to accomplish in the new year. :) Do you have any goals for 2015?
