Summer's End | September 2015

September was a month of many things.

I finished another round of short revisions for The Strongest Thread. I still feel pretty good with its current state, though it isn't quite ready for submitting.

I also joined The Fangirl Initiative as a monthly contributor. (First Friday of the month!)

Visited with family, even though it meant bittersweet goodbyes. My Uncle Chris passed away after a brave fight with cancer.

Prepared for a wedding (my youngest brother's).

Watched a lunar eclipse. It was very cool and beautiful.

Listened to Owl City's "My Everything" for the first time. It's been a favorite on my playlist this month.

Listened to a lot of 1940s big band music. My mom and I went to a thrift store and I got five big band CDs for $2.50, so those have been another big feature for my playlists.

Made a sugar cookie-flavored cappuccino. Yum!

Went to the fair with my family. It was a very fun night which involved lots of goofy pictures at a photo booth.

How was your September?

  1. Looks like your September had some lovely happenings, for the most part. The cappuccino sounds sooooo good, and fairs and 1940's Big Band music are fun. Sorry to read about your uncle. I hope you and your family find joy even through the grief.

My September was, well, up and down. But God is good, all the time. :-D

  2. Aw, I'm sorry for your loss. :( I too have loved Owl City's "My Everything" and it is just good, and the lunar eclipse sounds like it was awesome! Here's to both the good and the bad... And here's to the better we hope for. :) Have a good October!
