Fantasy Love February Recap

During February, Grace at Fictionally hosted a fantasy-themed reading challenge. I'd hoped to participate in the various challenges but ended up not being able to. All the same, it was fun to pop over to the other participants' blogs and see what was being read! (I've got a few new book titles on my TBR list now too!)

My reading list for the month included four books for the challenge:
Stars Above by Marissa Meyer
Dragonspell by Donita K. Paul
Dragonquest by Donita K. Paul
Dragonfire by Donita K. Paul

I wasn't able to complete all of these books by the end of February, but I was able to complete three of them.

Stars Above
Having only read three of these stories before, I was really excited to read the prequels I'd missed, as well as the new ones and the series epilogue. I wasn't disappointed! There were sad stories and sweet ones, and all in all, Stars Above was a fun conclusion to the series.

Dragonspell
It took a few chapters for this one to catch my attention but once it did, I really enjoyed the story. I loved getting to know the characters, especially Kale and her dragons.

Dragonquest
This was a strong followup to Dragonspell, and I really liked seeing more of the storyworld and meeting new characters, as well as meeting some of the new dragons.

As for Dragonfire, I was able to start reading it in February but didn't finish it until March 6th. I wasn't able to get a copy of the previous book before I started this one, so I was a little confused about some things. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it and the new characters, though I think this one was the saddest I've read of the series so far. I'm hoping to get the other books and read them soon.

What did you read in February? What are you reading now?

  1. DRAGONSPELL. DRAGONQUEST.. DRAGON EVERYTHING. I LOVE THOSE BOOKS. <33 I accidently read the third one first (??) so I was slightly confused but was so intrigued with the world and the characters I had to go back and read the others. I miss them. I should re-read them sometime.

STARS ABOVE <333 UHHHH I LOVED IT. I was crying by the end of the final story. It was so happy and carefree to just see all the characters just BE with each other & get to hang out and have fun. so beautiful. I'm so not over this book series!!!
