Snippets!

As promised a couple of posts ago, here are some snippets. :)  I haven't posted any in a while, so I've included some from Trace and Roguess

Behind the dining table and its four matching chairs, three of which had never been used, the overcast sky looked more like a painting than a view through glass windowpanes.
- Trace

Every footprint she pounded into the snow meant distance between her and them, and she forced herself not to think of how easily she could be tracked, of how easily they would find her.
- Roguess

He throws out a name of a place he's been to before, but he doesn't quite remember where it was. “It's a small town,” he says, which isn't really a lie. He's told far worse in his lifetime. “Had to get away.”
Also, not entirely a lie.
- Trace

Reyn passed, carrying a wooden chest in both arms. “Good morning,” he said, pausing. “I see you decided not to run away again.”
“I wasn't running to begin with.”
- Roguess

Despite all his confusion, he seemed calm. As if somehow he understood something of what was happening around him, though no one had spoken the words.
- Trace

“I like disagreeing with people,” she said. “Keeps things interesting.”
  “Oh, I'm certain it does.”
- Roguess

  The limo stopped.
  So did her heart.
Rett reached for the door handle. “Shall we?”
If only the question weren't rhetorical.
A wave of of sunlight and camera flashes greeted them, a stark contrast against the tinted windows and dimmed interior of the car. Somewhere in the moment of chaos, Rett's hand encircled hers.

  1. Oh yay, snippets! :D These are so fun to read!

“I like disagreeing with people,” she said. “Keeps things interesting.”
    “Oh, I'm certain it does.”
Hahaha! I love it! Sounds like something a few of my characters would say. XD

Thank you for sharing. Your stories sound fantastic!

  2. Your sense of humor is so fun! :)I think this quick line is my favorite:

“I see you decided not to run away again.”

I don't know why; it just sounded nice!
